Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
This sweet pair of 3-year old female Terrier mixes (Piper & Tilly) were brought to the HSOV on August 20, 2024 after they were picked up by the Washington County Ohio Dog Warden on Johnson Road (off SR550 in the Marietta Ohio area). Neither of the girls were wearing a collar, and they were not microchipped.
Piper (pictured in the background) has a sparse black short smooth coat, a rather long body, short legs, and a long tail. She has a cute face with hopeful innocent dark brown eyes, a white stripe on her slender muzzle, and large semi-erect ears. Piper weighs 15.4 lbs.
Tilly (pictured in the foreground) has a black short smooth coat with a small patch of white on her chest, a rather long body, short legs, and a long tail. She has an adorable face with large brown eyes, a smidgen of white on her slender muzzle, and large semi-erect ears. Tilly weighs 17.6 lbs.
Both girls have very friendly dispositions and are very attached to each other. Based upon their appearance, they are most likely siblings and might possibly have some Dachshund ancestors in their family background?
These preliminary photos were taken on August 20th, 2024 shortly after the girls were brought to our shelter. They were initially held for safe-keeping (and Piper has been given daily medicated baths for her skin issues).
We look forward to taking more flattering individual photos of these little sweethearts in the near future.
In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Piper and Tilly were held for the mandatory three-day stray hold so that their family would have an opportunity to reclaim them with proof of ownership ... But nobody called or came looking for them.
