Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Ricky spent several months in the shelter before being adopted for a very brief period. With all his pent up energy and stress from the shelter, he was returned for challenging behavior. He then came to us in foster, and we quickly learned he is not poorly behaved, just needed time to decompress and some consistency.
After a few weeks in a home, he has settled and is such a love bug. He has a giant head that he lays on you, and looks at you so lovingly, as he demands to be pet. His coat is stunning, and he is a strikingly beautiful blue pitty. He loves toys of all types, but needs strong ones, as he is a super chewer. He loves bones, ropes, squeakers, all of it! He loves to play outside and run with his foster dog siblings. He is dog friendly and has played with both males and females well. He would do best with a tolerant, playful dog, as he loves to play but doesn't always remember his size.
He is a big, young, high energy dog, so he needs regular exercise. He is strong and athletic, but is doing well on his leash. A backyard would be his dream, but regular long walks and play time could work as well. Though he is high energy for a pittie, he crashes for a nap immediately after any physical activity. He is potty and crate trained, and very treat motivated. He knows sit, down, and stay already.
It has been so beautiful to see his fun personality shine outside of the stressful shelter environment. He is ready to meet his new family now and entertain and love them for the rest of his life. If you think he is a good fit for you, please email his foster mom at hickeym08@gmail.com to ask questions or set up a time to meet him!
He is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and will be neutered prior to going home. If you have dogs or cats, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times. Primary Color: Grey Secondary Color: White Weight: 69 Age: 3yrs 4mths 4wks
