Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Zeus is a brown brindle Lab/Shepherd mixed breed dog whose estimated DOB is 9/12/2021. He lived for 2 years with a family who adopted him from our shelter, where he did well with cats and children. Poor Zeus was brought back to us through no fault of his own, so he is sad and really wants a new family to love. He is very loyal and just wants to be near his human! Zeus is very timid right now as he is still readjusting to life in the shelter, so he may need some time to warm up to you before going home. He is people selective, so patience may be in order. Once he warms up, he is such a good, sweet boy! He knows how to sit, come, and is working on stay. He would love for you to teach him some new tricks. Come adopt Zeus today and make his sadness go away!
Our adoption fee is $125 for small breed dogs under 20 pounds and $100 for all other dogs and cats unless otherwise noted in their bio. Every pet available for adoption is current on shots spayed/neutered, and microchipped. You may submit an application online for pre-approval and to set an appointment or you can visit the shelter Wednesday - Sunday from 11am - 5pm. Please note that the kennels close for pet viewing at 4:30pm.

More about this shelter
The mission of the Humane Society of Pulaski County is to rescue, care for and find homes for abandoned, abused, homeless and unwanted animals; to reduce suffering of animals; and to reduce the number of homeless animals through adoption, spay/neuter, and through education.
The Humane Society of Pulaski County provides access to low-cost, healthy, inoculated, sterilized animals to people seeking to adopt animals as pets only. Adopters are screened to see if they can provide the basics of care for the animals, proper housing, and continued veterinary maintenance; and have no history of animal abuse or irresponsible ownership.
The Humane Society is a private no-kill shelter, supported solely by donations, fund-raisers, bequests and grants. We receive no city, county or state funding, nor are we affiliated with any other organization. We have been rescuing animals since 1946, and have been in our present building since 2000.
