My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A long lasting bond with Purla takes root in an abundance of patience. From that foundation, a relationship with this gorgeous girl will continue to sprout. When Purla first arrives in your home, she will spend her time inside a cubby. You may not see her for many days as you visit her space to quietly feed her or sprinkle cat nip on a window perch. The best gardeners know that many factors impact growth, and sometimes the best approach is tender, careful waiting. One day, you'll put down Purla's food, and sit near by, as usual, and she'll appear, dainty and careful and full of life. You've done it! Weeks of dedicated care grew a seedling of friendship, and the rewards will continue to multiply.

Purla is food motivated, and these meal times will encourage the first moments of interaction and bonding between you--from a distance. Purla loves to observe both the people and other pets around her. She would prefer to share space with other pets who share her peaceful, cautious demeanor, and is happy to share toys with them. She also loves to view the world outside her windows.

Purla is smart and expressive, but above all, she is gentle with people and other cats. When nervous, she may freeze or run back to her cubby. You'll remember the first time her nose "boops" your finger. Purla also loves wand toys, and is a skilled hunter. Not surprisingly, she may watch for a while before attempting a chase. She tilts her head to the side in moments of curiosity and trots gracefully when intrigued. Over time, Purla becomes a constant presence, sharing furniture and sitting nearby to the humans who graciously took the time to get to know her.

Prior to adoption, all cats are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV/FELV, vaccinated and microchipped.

This cat is currently in a foster home. To meet this cat, please fill out an adoption application so that we'll have your contact information, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible. www.thedancingcat.org/adopt
