My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Name: Boots

Age: 1 year

Sex: Spayed Female

Breed: Domestic Shorthair

Traits: Good with other cats, older kids (13+) (unknown with dogs)

Fee: $100. Our cats come vet checked, spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and preventative treatment for fleas/ticks/worms.

Someone reached out about their cat that had kittens and they were unable to take care of them any longer. They said if we did not step in to take them, that they would have to euthanize the mother and kittens. We did not want this to happen so we made room to take in this litter. Boots was an amazing mother to her 2 kittens and she herself is a very well mannered and loving cat. She is a bit nervous around new people to start off, but once she knows you are not a threat, she is extremely loving. She will tolerate being held for short periods of time, but prefers to remain on her feet. While in foster Boots has made close friends with another mom cat who came into our care this year, Simone. While we would absolutely love that they could go together as they really do like each other, we are not making it a requirement. We are unsure how Boots would do with a dog, but we think with time and proper introduction that she would do okay. Boots would do okay in a home with older respectful children. Boots is currently being housed at Best Pets in Antioch IL.
