My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Spike is a sweet young pup who has quite the list of accomplishments for one so youthful! His former family shared that he was crate trained and good with children, that he liked to ride in the car, run and play, and most if all, that he just wanted to be by his family’s side. You can imagine what a surprise it was for Spike to end up at the shelter- now he’s looking for a new family to show off his skills to (and maybe even add a few more)! Volunteers and community members who have spent time with Spike have shared the following:

“Spike is a friendly guy and he loves running around in the yard with his kennelmate. He`s learning leashes are okay. Once he knows you, he allows light petting, and gives you little kisses in return.”

“Spike is very loving, cuddly and likes pets.”

Spike is an active pup who has done well with larger dogs and would like to meet any smaller dogs before heading home with them. He may actually do well with a confident dog in his new home to show him the ropes (and where to find the treats). Spike is sure to make a wonderful companion for a patient, caring family- come and meet him today!
