11/20/24 06:51 Dog Day Out Report Today I: I went on a 5 mile walk with a new friend at Almaden Lake Park. I had such a great time taking in all the sights and sniffs. It was a great day!
Three Words to Describe Me are: Friendly, Gentle, Easygoing
Notes from My Walker: This was my 2nd time meeting Muneca. She gently jumped up to greet me and was patient with me leashing her up once she calmed down. Muneca hopped into the car on her own and spent most of the ride calmly lying down or looking out the window. She did great on the trail and walked very well- she likes to walk in front of you but doesn’t pull at all. She spent most of the walk eagerly exploring and sniffing. Every leaf, blade of grass, and rock was thoroughly investigated. Muneca was non- reactive to everything- people, wildlife, and other dogs. Even when she does see something that interests her, she quickly loses interest and moves on. She’s not a big fan of treats and she can also “sit” on command. Overall, she’s an amazing dog who would make a great companion to anyone!

Today I was really excited to meet my new friend and go for a hike! I jumped up to say hello when we first met but I was really gentle and only jumped that one time. We went for a nice 3.5 mile hike where I got to take in all the smells along the path. We stopped at the viewpoint where I received so many nice pets and scratches from my friend! I couldn’t get enough of it! I made it very clear that I wanted more whenever the petting stopped and luckily my friend was happy to continue stroking my soft fur. I reciprocated the affection by trying to lick all over her face.
Three Words to Describe Me are: Attentive, Curious, Loving
Notes from My Walker: Muneca was a very easy dog to walk and handle. She was even great in the car and settled down immediately before just chilling and laying down for the duration of the ride. Muneca is definitely a sniffy walk kind of dog, and while she occasionally liked to just walk beside me (with no pulling!), she spent about 85% of our hike conducting a very thorough sniff analysis of the trail. She could be a great fit for someone who enjoys a casual, slower-paced stroll or easy hike!
