From the Foster Family: Moses is a playful and energetic young dog. His favorite thing to do is chase balls in and outside the house. If he has a rubber ball he can carry around with him everywhere, even better! When Moses is all tuckered out from playing, he loves to curl up next to you on the couch or at your feet for a snooze. Moses is smart and catches on to commands quickly. He is both house and crate-trained. Moses is friendly with children and gentle but does get easily startled by very young children, so school-aged children in the home would be preferable. He gets excited to see his people and will bounce around in anticipation, but does not jump on people. Moses likes other dogs if given a proper introduction and personal space when he wants it. Because he is on the small side, he is cautious around bigger dogs, but once he gets comfortable with them, will wrestle and play, as long as they don't try to steal his precious ball. Moses will be a great furry friend for anyone who will play fetch and then let him curl up in their lap!
Our special Moses has a condition called Pulmonic Stenosis which means his right ventricle is narrow causing the left ventricle to work a little harder to pump. He has seen a specialist twice over several months to observe for changes and there have been no changes or findings and he does not need any medications or other interventions. He's a healthy happy dog.
About Me: Hi! I am Moses and I have had quite a journey getting to Minnesota! I took a very long ride in a van and finally made it up here, all the way from Alabama. I have been in a couple of foster placements, so I can be a little shy at first, but once I get to know you, I won't let you out of my sight! I love to follow my foster mom around the house and can't wait for her to sit down and give me lots of pets and affection. Kids are cool too, but I think I'd prefer older ones that are dog savvy and gentle with my small size. I like having dog playmates too, but what I love the most is my favorite ball! I will fetch it and drop it for you to throw for me, but I can entertain myself too! I like to drop it and let it bounce so I can scramble after it. Burning all those calories playing fetch makes me very hungry, so I tend to eat fast! My foster mom says that isn't good for my tummy, so now I get a fun bowl that slows me down and helps me take my time. By the end of the day, I am tuckered out and content to curl up on a comfy pillow or blanket watching TV with the rest of the family. I am particularly fond of car rides and just curl up on the seat until we get to our next destination. Will my next car ride be to my forever home? I sure hope so!
