Introducing Socks, a charming Beagle and Pointer mix. At three and a half years old, weighing 33.6 pounds, she's just the right size. Socks has overcome adversity, having once been homeless and living in a car, where she was attacked by another dog. Her previous owner, unable to afford the vet bills, delayed seeking treatment, leading to an infection. Faced with the suggestion to euthanize her, the vet contacted our rescue, thus saving Socks' life. Now, after surgeries and recovery, she's completely healed. Socks is a treasure, always ready to accompany her humans, enjoys car rides, and loves snuggling on the bed or couch. She's incredibly lovable, waiting by the door when you're gone, and enjoys off-leash walks to the mailbox, always staying close. In the fields, she playfully chases foxes, deer, and geese, but returns immediately at the sound of a whistle. She's also great on a leash for relaxed walks. Socks is polite and fully house-trained. After the application approval, we set up a meet and greet with you, the animal you are wanting to adopt and any pet's you may have in order to see how everyone gets along. If all goes well we finalize the adoption. Our adoption fees vary from animal to animal.
What the adoption fee covers:
* All medical -up to date on vaccinations including Rabies, flea and tick treated, started on heartworm prevention (for dogs and pups over 6 months), spayed or neutered, (for dogs and pups over 6 months) and micro-chipped. In certain cases, some of our rescues require an extensive amount of medical treatment to get them healthy. We will spare no expense when it comes to the health and wellbeing of our animals. Extensive medical costs will never be passed on to the adopting family; but your adoption fee does help us recover some of the costs.
*Supplies you will receive with adoption – leash and collar.
