Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Taco! This 2-year-old, 11 lb. chihuahua mix has a lot of personality, keeping his foster family thoroughly entertained.
Taco’s a little wary of strangers, but quickly warms up. He is content lounging around, but also loves going on adventures. He’s just happy to be part of the gang. Definitely a big cuddler who loves affection, but also keeps to himself sometimes.
Taco does really well with the other dogs he lives with. He’s got an alpha streak, but as long as his doggy companions can be respectful, they will be great friends! He often initiates play and loves to chase. We don’t know how he does with cats or children.
When Taco was first taken into foster care, he was clearly underweight. Not surprisingly, his fosters noticed resource guarding at mealtime. This often develops when food is scarce. But he has already shown so much progress with this! By establishing consistent and sufficient meals, his fosters are slowly earning his trust.
This little guy is a smart cookie! Being treat motivated and laser focused on his humans, he is extremely receptive to training. He does have a stubborn streak, but with consistency and a little patience, he can learn just about anything!
His fosters have enjoyed having this cute little rascal around and they can’t wait for him to find his forever family. Taco’s spunk and sweetness might just be the secret ingredient your home needs!
Taco has been neutered, is current on vaccines, has tested negative for heartworm and is microchipped.
If you are interested in adopting Taco, please complete an adoption application on our website (uaaf.org). For more information, call/text Tammy at 801-230-9789 or email Tammygustaveson524@gmail.com
