This helps Town and Country Animal Rescue with pet care costs.
Styx is a terrified 5-year-old cat. She and her sister Persephone originally came from a closed animal shelter in Kansas and were adopted together 4 years ago. Both girls were returned to us when their human moved in with a family full of allergies. After a few years in her previous home, she refused all human contact. She came to us matted and angry. After a full haircut, she looks much better but is still very angry and scared. The shelter is not a good placement for her, but we are doing our best. She and her sister will need the most patience of any cat we have seen in quite some time. When distracted by food, she is beginning to accept pets!
The adoption fee is $125 + tax and covers age-appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter. The adoption fee helps cover the cost of these vetting procedures.
Please note, that we do NOT allow the declawing of any cat or kitten we adopt unless deemed medically necessary. We will gladly provide you with alternative methods of managing cats with claws.
If you are interested in any of our animals please fill out an application on our website www.townandcountryanimalrescue.org
After you have submitted an application and been approved, a Cat Team member will reach out to set up a “meet and greet” between you and the pet. The introduction between you and the pet will be supervised by one of the cat team members or the foster. If all goes well, you can adopt during the same visit.**
