Meet Coconut, a young and friendly resident of our shelter. Coconut has a heart full of love and a spirit brimming with joy. Despite his youth, he possesses a gentle demeanor that makes him a perfect companion for both children and adults. He loves to play, but also knows when it's time to settle down for a quiet moment. Coconut is quick to learn new tricks, making him an ideal pet for those looking to teach their new friend some fun skills. He is also great with other pets, making him a wonderful addition to any family with existing furry friends. The shelter life is no place for a dog as loving and gentle as Coconut. He deserves a home where he can be showered with love and affection. Adopting Coconut means gaining a loyal friend who will provide unconditional love and companionship. Give Coconut the forever home he deserves.

The Stone County SPCA was organized in 2009 and opened a shelter in 2012 in Wiggins, MS. We have always been a no kill shelter. Our biggest challenge is the high demand to place dogs and cats in our shelter. Currently, we take in approximately 1200 animals annually. We do not euthanize animals for lack of space. We have a live release rate of 95%. We do this by keeping adoption fees low and transporting a large percentage of our animals (65% of our dogs and puppies).
