Maple and Oakley were brought into a municipal shelter on July 8th by a Good Samaritan who claimed he found them in Fair Lawn while visiting family. Unfortunately, while on "stray hold" they became sick and had to be put in isolation for weeks while undergoing treatment, so they did not get socialized properly. Once it was determined they were well, it was also decided that they were not adoptable. We felt differently and took them into our rescue.
Maple and Oakley are very sweet but shy right now. They both enjoy being brushed, scratched behind the ears and even started to purr after just a few days. Oakley really seems to enjoy catnip toys and Maple likes springs. They both have good appetites and love treats. We are sure they will continue to flourish with love and patience and learn how to be kittens again and maybe even become lap cats.
Approximate DOB 04/28/24.
Up to date on vaccinations, FIV/FeLV negative, microchipped and spayed/neutered.
You must be at least 18 years of age to adopt. If you live in a parent or guardian's home, they must complete the application. An application does not guarantee an adoption. Our cats and kittens are not adopted on a first come, first served basis, but whom we feel would be the best fit for our cats and kittens.
