My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A SWEET ‘PEOPLE DOG’:  Approx. 3 years old / Approx. 35 lbs.

Hi, my name’s Clarke! I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control.  I sure am enjoying the great care and attention I’ve been receiving since I arrived.  Now, they say I am ready to find a home of my very own – so excited!

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and liked them, so if you have a dog at home already, let’s meet! I am talkative at times when I see other dogs. / Cats unknown. / I met a boy and girl around 10 years old at Mostly Mutts and did well with them.  A home with kids 10+ could be a good fit for me, and of course, let’s meet!

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a sweet guy with a very friendly nature.  I was calm and sweet for my shelter bath and was told that I’m the ‘best boy’ which I liked hearing.  Playful and fun, I’m ready to be a lucky family’s great addition. I was also a good boy when it was my turn for a photo shoot!  In my temp. foster home, I did try to chew on some things that I weren’t mine, so please keep an eye on me and make sure I have a bone to chew on so that I don’t mess with your things.  I’m a bit fearless and tried to jump up on the stove while it was on, so please watch me closely.  / My energy level is 5-7.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I am learning lots of great doggie commands with my trainer.  I have already mastered several commands: ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘down’, ‘come’ and ‘leave it’ as well as how to accept friendly strangers without jumping and utilize proper door etiquette.  We’re working on my leash manners now as I do jump and pull some. Check back soon to see what else I have learned. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / I've been having some accidents on the shelter schedule but did very well during the 3 days I spent in my temporary foster home.  Please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can fully master my potty skills.

• LIKES/DISLIKES:  Since I am a friendly ‘people dog’, I love being with them and collecting ALL the cuddles.  When the volunteers come to spend time with me, I am happiest when I am just sitting with them and chilling while we people and dog watch.  Play time is also great, and I like squeaky toys, balls and Nylabones, so I look forward to lots of fun play sessions with YOU!  I love my food, and I love to lie down while I’m eating.  If you ask me, I think I’m adorable!  / I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.

• MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.  I have some moderate tartar on my teeth, so my adoptive family should consult with their vet and consider a dental cleaning in the future.

I am looking for a loving home where I will be a cherished member of the family!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process

Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following:

Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care.
We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot.
The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org.
Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family!

Adoption Info:
Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. Who We Are:

Mostly Mutts is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization, staffed almost entirely by volunteers!

Our Mission is to help the Unwanted, Abandoned, Abused and Sick animals in our local counties. We fulfill this mission by working closely with County Animal Control Facilities, saving those who are in imminent danger of euthanasia, or those with needs which require specialized vet care that many other groups will not consider: major orthopedic issues, heartworm positive treatment, skin conditions, neglect and abuse
