My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Samantha
Domestic Shorthair, Born in August 2022, Brown Tabby, Spayed female

Hi there! I’m Samantha, your friendly neighborhood brown tabby with a heart full of curiosity and a belly full of mischief. With my sleek stripes and endless energy, I’m always on the lookout for my next adventure—or maybe just the perfect sunbeam for a cozy nap.

I’m the queen of interactive play. If there’s an iPad app that makes things zoom around the screen, you bet I’ll be right there, paws at the ready. And let’s not forget my absolute favorite toys: the glove with a mouse at each finger (I call it the 'Mouse Glove of Dreams') and the braided toy that makes me look like an acrobat in a circus. Twist, turn, leap—no toy is safe when I’m on the prowl!

When I’m not showing off my acrobatic skills, I’m more than happy to engage in a friendly chat. Yes, I do love to talk—especially when there’s food involved. I mean, who can resist a tasty treat now and then? But don’t worry, I’m not just motivated by snacks; I’m here for the cuddles, the play, and of course, the love.

So, whether you’re up for a game or just need a purring companion, I’m your gal. Let’s make every day a purr-fect adventure together!

Our fees include a full medical exam by a veterinarian. This includes a Feline Leukemia and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) test for cats, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, deworming and Spay/Neuter. Dogs receive a Heartworm Check, Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, Canine Flu Vaccine, deworming, and Kennel Cough preventative. Our modest adoption fees do not cover the procedures and vet work that we provide the animals. We fundraise to make up the difference. Any ongoing medical needs that C.A.R.E. is aware of are explained fully, (including daily medicine costs), to the potential adopter, and become the responsibility of the adopter.
