Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tis I, Queen Snickerdoodle!
At 2 years old and 55 pounds, I reign supreme as the ultimate snuggler, couch potato, and queen of your heart. With my German Shepherd coloring, floppy ears, and adorably “fun-sized” legs like a Basset Hound, I’m a sight to behold—and I know it! I mean, who wouldn’t want to worship at the paws of such royalty?
But don’t be fooled by my regal looks; I am also incredibly smart and well-mannered. I’ve mastered basic commands like sit, paw, and down, and I’m the perfect blend of playful and chill. Whether I’m playing with my stuffed toys or curled up on the couch for a movie marathon, I’m always happy to match your vibe.
I love going for walks, and even with my short legs, I’ll keep up with you just fine! I recently went on a little vacation with a foster, and they couldn’t stop raving about how well-behaved I was.
I enjoyed napping on the couch and lounging on the balcony, soaking up the neighborhood gossip (you wouldn’t believe what the squirrels were up to!). I also had fun walking around town and sunbathing on the beach—just don’t expect me to get my hair wet!
Some say I’m like a lovable sitcom character, providing just the right amount of comic relief with my quirky antics. My superpower? A sweet, soulful stare that can charm anyone into playing with me, giving me treats, or showering me with belly rubs! Seriously, my stare could win an Oscar.
While I get along with other calm dogs, I must confess—I’m a bit of a diva and would prefer to reign as the only 4-legged queen in your home. Oh, and belly rubs? They’re my absolute favorite—though food comes in a close second!
Ready to bring home a little slice of royalty? More about this shelter
Abandoned Pet Rescue (APR) is one of the largest no-kill animal shelters in South Florida with the mission of rescuing and sheltering abandoned and abused cats and dogs with the goal of finding them new homes. APR's adoption center has about 150 cats and 30 dogs, all of which receive nutritious meals, veterinary care, enrichment and love.
APR, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was founded in 1996 by a group of volunteers who were trapping, spaying and neutering feral cats and quickly realized the greater need to help abandoned pets and advocate for a no-kill community. APR is funded solely by generous donors and grants.
