🐾🤍🤎🖤🌴Meet Firu, a “Sato dog” from Puerto Rico! A “Sato dog” refers to the small to medium-sized stray dogs on the island. Island dogs are smart, loyal, highly trainable, and thrive on routines and consistency. They have wonderful demeanors, make devoted companions, adjust well to their environments, and are a perfect mix of energetic and affectionate. Firu will continue to work on all puppy-training concepts including: Basic leash training, potty, crate, socialization, etc. Structure goes far with praise and proper direction provided. There is no love like the love of an island dog!
Firu was rescued with his three siblings. They were found wandering around a neighbor's home in Trujillo Alto, PR with a pack of stray dogs. Firu is an incredibly sweet and independent little guy. He is playful, has a big personality, and isn't shy about showing it. While trusting people is still a work in progress, he is making progress every day! He is doing great with the crate and is used to wearing a harness. When he’s able/ready, he will work on walks as he is continuing to gain trust and confidence. He has taken a liking to the foster kitty friend and enjoys the company of his siblings. (Unknown with kids, yet). The father of the litter is unknown and possible idea of who mom may be.
