Meet Momma Kiwi (A208394)! Momma Kiwi is an approximately three years young kitty looking for a loving home at the shelter!
Momma Kiwi was originally found as a stray and would happily go up to anyone walking by to say hello and twine around their legs. Since then she is perfectly content to be a spoiled indoor kitty.
Momma Kiwi is a total sweetheart. She loves pets on her cheeks, neck and chin, but is not a fan of long strokes along her back as her lower back is a little sensitive, which is very common for kitties. If she needs a break or doesn't like the way you are petting her, she is very clear about letting you know. If you don't 'listen' then she may give a little swat or nip to get you to stop, but she is very gentle about it. For this reason, a home without very young children is recommended. Momma Kiwi is very food motivated and loves canned food which is a sure path to her heart. She gets along with other cats and can coexist peacefully with them, as long as they don't bother her, or she may swat at them if they get too close.
All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months). All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control.
