My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PDATED BIO 08/15/2010: Hi! Sheba here! A lot has happened in a short timeframe. I learned I am acutally only 8.9 pounds and still hope to lose a pound with the new diet FM put me on! After getting a sparkling clean report from the vet, I'm almost ready to go to my "furever" home. Oh wait, did I say sparkling? Well, I must confess that my teeth weren't 100% sparkly, so I'm getting a routine dental cleaning in two weeks, nothing extreme, just a nice polishing and then I'll be ready for my new home!

FM says I am a sweet little thing, I like to lay on my pillow but I'll keep one eye on you in the hopes that you say my name or show me that you'd like to pet me. And, don't sit too close unless you'd like me scoot close to you and curl up on your lap! But, I'm also a spunky little one and if you're willing to toss me a toy or play tug of war, I'm game! I love getting playtime in but, I'm not a hyper girl, I'm a well-mannered little lady, although I won't hold back from barking if I hear something that sounds unusual. But, I don't get too excited and I listen very well. Now, I don't really think I like to go on long walks, so I would do fine with a small fenced yard or even city-living as I just really like to go out to "do my business" and then get back inside for another round of affection or maybe just a nap in the cool A/C!

I have a short, soft hair-do right now, but FM has pictures of my hair when it's long and I'd like to think it makes me look glamorous! But, I'm happy either way, just look at my tail, it tells my story! You may know that I am available along with my "brother" Scooby, whom I love! And, so far I haven't really been too excited to get to know any new dogs so I just tolerate them. But, I may change my mind, we'll see, it's too early to tell. Oh and since I mentioned my brother, you may know that we are both up for adoption. Take a look at our video to see how we get along! And, maybe you have it in your heart to make room for both of us in your home?? Although we're willing to be adopted separately. Hugs and Kisses!

INITIAL BIO 08-12-2010: MEET SHEBA! Sheba is a cute 4 year old, 9# female who came into rescue with her 'brother', Scooby (see his bio above). Their owner surrendered them to UYR because she was unable to care for them any longer and wanted them to have a better life. Although they came in together, they can be adopted separately...... unless there is someone out there with a huge heart who can take them both - they have been together their entire lives! They are both being fostered in Tampa, FL. Sheba and Scooby only arrived today at their foster home, and they are still figuring everything out. With a change in environment, they appear to be comforted by each other and have been snuggling together. They both appear to be super affectionate towards Foster Mom and appear to love anybody they've come into contact with so far. They are both friendly towards her dogs because FM has two yorkies, although Sheba wasn't too excited with FM's 1 y/o yorkie's energy........... but, that will probably change soon. So far, they both seem to be housetrained and are well-mannered. Sheba and Scooby each have soft coats but were only recently rid of lots and lots of fleas, so their beautiful long coats should come in really nicely. FM reports that each of them really loved their baths. Unfortunately, in the recent past they were mostly eating a lot of junk food, and each needs to lose a little bit of weight, but FM will check with the vet and make sure they are put on the appropriate diet - and no more junk food!

Please stay tuned to learn more fantastic things about both Sheba and Scooby's personalities.............do they sound like they may be the perfect dogs in your home?
