HI, Cheddar here and I have a pretty awesome story to tell. See I went from rags to riches in the matter of 24 hours. All the cats on my block say to not let it get in my head because I can end up back on the streets in the blink of an eye. However I have more faith in mankind than that. I know that humans love an adorable clingy cat so I make sure to lay that on thick. I will never go back to the streets with those tricks up my sleeve, and to ensure my kingdom remains in tack I use all the power in my little body to demand all the pets and cuddles I can possibly get. Now here is the thing: my palace must have all the comfy spots a cat can ever want cause well why not, hello I am the center of attention. I may be somewhat of a thief because I just dont think it's fair that the humans here make food for themselves and refuse to share, you must agree right, how rude is that? I mean they do make up for their little flaw by giving me all the play time I could ever dream of. Did you know that they make fuzzy things on a string that don't hurt you? I never thought I could have that much fun spazzing out and playing with that thing. My fosters call it a cat toy and let me just say YES! Now that I have made it off the awful streets and have a luxury life I am looking for a permanent place to claim as my own. I may be a little dopey looking but the vet says I am fine and well that is that so I hope to settle down soon!

Who We Are
Bailey's Human Rescue, Incorporated (BHR) is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation based in Johnston County, North Carolina. BHR has established the first Trap Neuter Return (TNR) program in Johnston County, and provides a pet pantry for pet owners that need a little help. Through these programs, and community education, we hope to reduce the number of domesticated animals that meet an untimely end simply because they exist.
What We Believe
Bailey's Human Rescue was founded on the view that we, as humans, are responsible for the domesticated animal overpopulation crisis that we are faced with today. Humans chose to domesticate these animals, and humans have failed to manage their populations properly. It is inhumane for us to exterminate the animals we created and managed so poorly simply because it is the quickest option. If we work together, and chose humane methods, it is possible to end this crisis without causing unnecessary harm to these animals.
