URGENT Temporary Foster Needed – Long Island, NY preferred
Meet Hazel and Kota. These two senior gals, both around 12 yrs old, need our help! Their loving mom was unfortunately laid off from her job, fell behind on rent and was evicted earlier this year. Relatives agreed to take them in, but the girls are no longer welcome. Their mom has no choice but to make the heartbreaking decision to surrender her girls, temporarily she prays, to a foster until she can save up for a new home where the 3 of them can be together
again. The estimate is mid-late January.
Hazel is a Pitbull mix (89lbs),and Kota is a Shepard mix (78lbs). Both dogs are good with people and children. They were attacked by a trio of dogs last year so now they tend to be cautious and wary of other dogs, especially larger breeds, but they are very tolerant of their feline friends. Kota will occasionally bark when greeting someone at the door but calms easily. Hazel is the quieter one and prefers to chill out on her orthopedic bed. They both love lots of affection and long walks. Overall, they are mild-mannered and calm. Both girls are spayed and current with vaccinations.
If you can be the savior these sweet gals need for a few months, please contact adoptions@paws-li.org or go to our FB page or call the number listed below.
