Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Sara is a precious snuggle bug who adores playing with her foster dog brother, foster human sister (6 year old), and foster parents.
She’s a dog who loves being with her people and enjoys going where the family goes. She could spend hours playing outside with the hose, sprinklers, water guns, and bouncy balls, but she’s just as comfortable playing the role of couch potato on your lap.
Sara was found wandering the streets of Houston, TX following hurricane Beryl. She befriended some neighborhood kids and wouldn’t leave their doorstep thereafter. She was emaciated and dehydrated but despite her dire situation, maintained an extremely friendly disposition, and sweetly approached her finders.
Sara does best in a medium to active family household. She’s crate trained and is doing well with her potty training. Sara is good with dogs, kids, and people, but would do best in a home without cats.
Sara is around 2 years old, about 40 lb, fully vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped. She is heartworm negative, and kept on heartworm and flea preventative.
Sweet Sara is being fostered in Texas, but can travel to any state, and even Canada for the right home.
To meet this gorgeous pup via facetime or whatsapp or other video chat apps, please send a completed application via www.savesomesouls.com
Yards, if any, MUST BE adequately and fully fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept electric or underground fences.

More about this rescue
Our animal rescue section has been organized with very compassionate and dedicated volunteers whose only goal is to save a pet.
Each day hundreds of healthy, adoptable dogs and cats are euthanized in the kill-shelters of America. In Houston itself, we have the largest population of strays and our shelters are full with strays and abandoned animals including those surrendered by their owners because of reasons such as unwillingness to take care of them, pregnancy, divorce, loss of job, loss of home, prison intake, loss of compassion, empathy, you name it. Add to this, are abandoned pets on the side of the street by owners. Our mission is to give these puppies another chance at love and life. If every person will stop buying from breeders and adopt a shelter pet and spay and neuter them, we will be able to eradicate our euthanasia problem.
