My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dusty and Buster are a sweet bonded pair and must be adopted together. (see more pics of Dusty in her bio)

This adorable, momma and son duo lost their home when their owner planned to move and dump them outside. Luckily, a Stray Cat Blues foster gave them safe refuge and promised them we would find a safe, new loving home where they could stay together forever. This ready-made little family is loved by everyone who meets them!

Buster is the best boy! At about 4 years old, he is a big mush! He is sweet, silly, affectionate, and just the most adorable guy! He loves to be pet and brushed and wants to be near you as much as possible. Buster is always happy and purrs loudly with the cutest sound that can only be described as Chewbacca! He will eagerly greet you looking for affection. He even likes to be held like a baby and will make biscuits with his paws while getting pets. Buster has the most gorgeous eyes and light orange and white coloring. His gentle, sweet personality is the best! Buster loves to play! Bring out his favorite toys and he becomes a silly kitten. He is just as happy to entertain as he is to snuggle. Buster has perfect litter box habits and has never met a person he didn’t love.

Dusty is such a lovely girl! At about 6 years old, she is a stunning dark calico who is so affectionate, sweet and gentle. She is a quiet kitty who loves to be pet and brushed and has become a total snuggle bug! Dusty starts out very shy and will hide at first. It took her about 3 weeks to fully trust her foster parents but it was absolutely worth the wait! She is an amazing beauty who is just perfect. She can be silly and extremely playful with her favorite toys. She will greet you with tiny little mews and rub against you looking for ear rubs. She has a sweet face with a little underbite. She has had a full dental done and several teeth removed but eats like a pro. She has perfect litterbox habits and loves lounging in her cat tree, watching out the window. Dusty will appreciate a quieter home. She lives with a quiet old dog in her foster home but hides as soon as the dog approaches. She would probably prefer a dogless home. She would be gentle with anyone who pets her but would probably hide from kids.

Dusty and Buster are both spayed/neutered, tested FeLV/FIV negative, microchipped, up to date on their vaccines and flea prevention/deworming.

Dusty and Buster are living in their foster home near our Collegeville adoption center. They can be transported to the adoption center to meet you, by appointment. Their foster mom is happy to connect and answer any questions about this special pair.

Additional adoption info

During review of the application if you rent your home, we confirm with your landlord that you are allowed to have the cat per your lease.

We also consider if a particular cat is a good fit for your home. Certain cats will do better in homes without small children, or without other cats. Other cats may need to be adopted with a cat that they are bonded with. So we make sure that the cat and the home are a good match before completing an adoption.

Some of our fosters allow trial adoptions, where you would have 2-3 weeks to make sure that the cat being adopted was accepted by the other pets in your home. If you are interested in this, please ask your Adoption Representative.

All cats adopted from Stray Cat Blues have been screened for feline leukemia and FIV, inoculated, sterilized and wormed when they first come to us. Additional vet work is completed for those cats that require additional care. Healthy, adoptable cats and kittens are then housed through our network of foster homes until they are adopted.

You are also welcome to come visit cats at our PetSmart Collegeville and PetSmart North Wales/Montgomeryville locations (see times for adoption showings). If you see a cat there that you like, you can complete an adoption application there in person.

Questions - email us at: contact@straycatblues.org. We are happy to answer general questions, and also put you in touch with the foster families for questions about specific cats.

Adoption Fees:
• $150 - Kittens up to one year of age
• $100 - For cats over one year and up to 7 years of age
• $70 - For cats 7 years of age and over.
All fees are subject to Pennsylvania's 6% sales tax and a minimum of $5 or 5% service fee.
Fees for cats with special needs will be determined based upon circumstances and may result in a fee reduction.
