My name is Zen!

Meet: Zen! This handsome boy is 1 of 7 siblings who joined the New Leash family this week, and he will be ready to romp on home with a family all his own as soon as this coming Tuesday (9/3)! Zen (male) is a shepherd mix of sorts (we’ll post photos of his mom + supposed dad in the comments); he was born on 5/31/24, so is now 13 weeks old. He weighs-in right around 15lbs, and is as sweet and as cuddly as can be! He has already been on plenty of social adventures with his foster mom…and has been the star of the show! Zen is currently being fostered with an adult dog who has some injuries, and he’s been absolutely incredible with her. He is super intuitive and is well aware that he needs to be calm + respectful around her, allowing her to recover. So needless to say, he is smart AND attentive! He’s definitely a special little dude. Zen is doing so well with his potty-training when on a consistent schedule; he’s great about going right away once he’s let outside. He’s also familiar with using potty-pads, if need be! Zen loves exploring and playing with toys. He makes the cutest playful puppy noises, and will trot around with his favorite toy in his mouth. It’s simply adorable! He also really loves water, and his water bowl…which he thinks is fun to pick up (resulting in water spillage ) and carry around with him. Yesterday he got tired in the middle of this shenanigans, and decided to take a nap with his head resting on the bowl (see the bottom, left picture )! He is so silly, and SO sweet — all rolled into one! He loves a good belly rub (& will do the cutest leg kicks when you hit the perfect spot), loves making new friends (kiddos, too!), and would love nothing more than a forever family all his own!
