Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Brown/black tabby, short hair, spayed female, born approx. 1/31/23, #18462
Cats: prefers to be solo Dogs: meh Children: cat-savvy teens or adults
BACKGROUND: Aiko was living in Tijuana. The lady that had started feeding and caring for her reached out to The Rescue House when she became concerned that Aiko was pregnant. Aiko moved into foster care, though as it turned out she was not pregnant after all! Now she is looking forward to finding a loving forever home.
PERSONALITY: This sweet small-statured kitty has a big personality! Aiko didn’t understand what toys were when she first arrived in foster care, but she has certainly figured it out now… wand toys are her favorite. She loves to be petted but it’s best to do so when she’s sleepier and relaxed rather than when she’s coming off a playtime high as she can get a bit overstimulated and at those times she might give you a little nip. She stops when her foster tells her no but she hasn’t quite learned not to do it at all. Aiko likes to lounge on sofa cushions as well as on a cat tree conveniently located by a window: that way she can watch Kitty TV as well as human TV as she chooses! She is a sucker for Churu-type lickable treats and is such a sweetheart.
COMPATIBILITY: Aiko would best like to be your only fur-child. She can tolerate another cat who does its own thing as well as a small dog, but it’s really just tolerance and not her preference. She does not want to interact with either four-footed species. Now humans, that’s different! Aiko adores your company, but since she can get overstimulated we recommend an experienced cat guardian without younger children.
Aiko is longing for a safe and secure home where she won’t have to fend for herself again and will always be able to have human companionship. Will you give her a warm welcome?
