Zoey is a female black with white shih tzu mix. She is 14 weeks old (as of 8/30) and she weighs 9 pounds. Zoey has had age appropriate vaccinations. She has two cherry eyes (gland of inner eye visible in pictures) that we will have repaired at the time of her spay. We are seeking a local adopter NOW so Zoey can begin making new friends and learning her routines in her permanent home, and the adopter can then keep her spay and cherry eye repair appointment with our doctor. Zoey is ready for adoption.
Zoey is an adorable, cuddly puppy. She and her sister Elise came to us to the shelter system. They had worms and hair loss but have responded well to treatment. Zoey is a little shy but social and friendly. She has a sweet happy nature. Zoey plays with toys and likes chew toys. Zoey has just started potty training and kennel training. Zoey is a puppy and will need some patience as she finishes maturing, but she will be a great addition to a family.

The vetting of an adult dog includes spay/neuter, vaccinations including rabies, and heartworm testing. Dental work and treatment of heartworms, cherry eye, mange, parvo exposure and broken limbs are some examples of what is done to save lives. Shot and medical records come with the dog upon adoption and include the last date heartworm prevention was administered.
