Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Koja and I’m looking for my forever home! My “must haves” are another dog (or more) to play with and I’m not a good match for an apartment or home with shared walls. I am 9 y.o. and I weigh 30 lbs. I am active, healthy and friendly. Foster mom says that I am a very silly love bug and an absolute doll! I came to my foster home here in Jonesburg, MO, from a commercial breeding facility where I helped make puppies. I’m retired from that life now and love being a member of a family, so I’m making up for lost time. I had no idea that there was so much to see and do! I am a social butterfly. I love people and will run up to just about anybody to ask for attention. Sometimes I come running so hard that I almost knock foster mom over. I love to be with other dogs. I love to follow them and learn how to play! I also met a cat! He teased me, so I tried to chase him to see if he wanted to play. I have never lived with kids, but I met some and I loved getting affection from them. Foster mom has been teaching me how to walk on a leash. It takes me a little while to get going because OMG SMELLS! But then I am a good walker, with the occasional break to flop over for a belly rub. This new life is awesome... with one or two exceptions. This “spa day” thing? I am not a fan. I will have words to say if it happens again! I’m mostly fine in my crate, but sometimes I sing the song of my people because I’d rather be out socializing. My perfect forever home will not share walls with other families, since I can be vocal. I would love to have a fenced yard, but I’d probably do fine with an owner who liked to take lots of walks. I do need another dog (or more) to play with in my forever home. Foster mom thinks I would not be happy being alone. I am potty trained and a healthy boy – neutered and vaccinated. If you live in the Midwest and are interested in a total sweetheart like me, visit www.savingshibas.com/adopt for more info and to apply to become an approved adopter. The application process helps SIRA learn more about you and your home environment to make sure we’ll be a good match. Once approved, they will connect you with my foster mom so we can meet! I can’t wait!
