My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Chance formally known as Cronos, a laid-back boy who's ready to find his forever home! After arriving at the shelter as a stray on 8/31, Chance is adapting well to his new environment. The finder described him as hyper/nervous towards rangers and children, that he was nervous of other animals and would bark at them, and that he was friendly, scared, and playful. In his kennel, he greets new friends with wiggly excitement and soft eyes, making it easy to leash him and bring him outside. He's very tolerant, sticking close to his handler and responding well to direction. While he can be snatchy with treats and sometimes walks into things, he remains calm and relaxed, showing a clear preference for chilling by his handler rather than engaging with toys. Several of his walk-sheet notes describe him as a "very good boy. If you're looking for a gentle and easygoing dog who enjoys a laid-back lifestyle, Chance could be a good fit for you!

BEHAVIOR:
Per volunteer 9/15: Very sweet, curious.

Per volunteer 9/14: Cronos is my most favorite dog, I try to take him out every time I visit the shelter. He is a lovely dog with great manners. Cronos is always so happy to see me and makes the most of his time outside. After pottying and checking all the smells, Cronos will sit so nicely beside you and soak up love. He is also dog friendly and has no stranger danger, everyone he sees is a potential friend!

Per volunteer 9/8: Pulled a little on leash, but not much. Good walk.

9/1 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION:
KNOWN HISTORY:
Stray
KENNEL PRESENTATION:
Cronos wiggly, soft eyes, eager to exit, easy to leash, wagging tail
LEASH SKILLS:
Pulls moderately- random zoomies
HANDLING:
Cronos is very tolerant and obedient, listening to the handlers direction and sticking by her. He is snatchy with treats and has a blind eye to things around- walking into the table and my hand before realizing the handler had a treat. He allowed all handling and was more interested in relaxing by the handler than toys. He is a chill and calm boy, a laid back man with the time and need to explore.
PLAY
No interest
TOYS:
No interest
COLOR LEVEL & ANY RECOMMENDATIONS:
