Meet Soleil, a gentle and loving cat with a heartwarming story. She arrived at VOKRA very skinny and scared, bravely nursing her three babies. Soleil is shy and timid but she has shown her true sweet nature and is now ready for a forever home. She adores being petted, especially enjoying ear scratches, and loves to play with cardboard boxes and her favourite toy, "da bird."
Soleil is incredibly loyal and often seeks human attention from her fosters. She needs a calm home with someone who will patiently give her time to adjust and respect her boundaries. If there are children in the home, they should be older. With trust, Soleil will blossom into the perfect companion for any cat lover.

Interview
Our adoption counsellors focus on educating our adopters on cat care. Once approved, they use a matching process to find your perfect pet.

Meet the Pet
When you find a kitty you like, you will arrange an appointment with the foster home - where the kitty feels most comfortable and confident.

Sign Adoption Contract
Our adoptions contract process includes reviewing critical cat care information and providing contacts for post-adoption advice.
5.
Take the Pet Home
Woo hoo! You will be expected to take the kitty to a free post-adoption vet check within 2 weeks, and follow up on any required vet care.

Each year more than 1,400 cats and kittens are adopted through VOKRA. We're always here after the adoption if you need ongoing advice.
Response times can vary, depending on the time of year and available volunteer resources. Applications and help requests for non-emergency issues will usually receive a response in 1-3 days.
