For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
Hi! I am Violet! My amazing Foster Mama likes to call me Honey though because I am just so
sweet and my coat is the color of golden honey. I am really starting to enjoy my leash walks in
the quiet park and I get in and out of the car like a champ. I have learned that car rides are lots
of fun for me! Loud noises and sudden movements still scare me but I am getting better each
day – this is a big world with lots of things for me to learn about after all. My most favorite
thing to do is sit beside my humans (or even on your lap!) and have my face rubbed. Even
though they say I am a work in progress, I am working really hard to break free of my wariness
to become the best Collie girl ever! I just need a little time and patience with my new family.
Violet came to us from a situation where she was with many other Collies and not receiving the
attention she deserved. She will require a safe and secure physical fence so she can freely romp
and play in her yard. A quiet home will be best for Violet and perhaps with another canine
sibling to help her navigate this big world.
If you’ve got the love to help Violet continue her journey to becoming her best self, fill out
an Adoption Application for her today!
Violet is being fostered in PA
If you are interested in this dog; and wish additional information, you MUST submit an application on our website. Once we receive your application, an interviewer will call you and try to answer any additional questions you may have.
In order to continue our rescue efforts and help more dogs, we require an adoption donation ranging from $75 - $500, depending on the age, breed and the expenses incurred on the individual dog.
Our application can be found at http://www.tristatecollierescue.org/ under the adopt tab. Thank you

TRI STATE COLLIE RESCUE VOLUNTEERS have been professional breeders and dog show exhibitors, and we have more then 50 years of combined professional experience with the collie breed. In addition, our group includes devoted collie owners and lovers. We are listed as a recognized rescue group with the COLLIE CLUB OF AMERICA
OUR MISSION:
To end the indiscriminate breeding practices of irresponsible breeders, to educate the public about the lifetime responsibilities of caring for a pet, including the necessity of spaying and neutering, and to promote the return of undying love and devotion collies offer their owners. Too many purebred collies are found as strays, in dog shelters, or in the humane societies. We hope to eliminate the euthanasia of these collies.
"Just when you think there are no angels, a collie comes into your life"
