Abby is a blend of two very active breeds! She absolutely loves her foster sisters and is a strong playmate with a lot of endurance. Abby is fully kennel-trained and accustomed to the work-from-home routine at her foster home. She gets up early, potties on command, and is kenneled with breaks for potty and playtime with her foster sisters. Bedtime is about 9 p.m. and after play and potty she is ready to sleep through the night.
Abby is trained to go into her kennel for meals. She also uses the doggie door and is quite well leash-trained. She's excited to put on her harness, but is cooperative and ready to go.
Abby will thrive on the learning and bonding that she'll experience in puppy classes. Abby is very treat motivated and she comes when called. She is obedient - but occasionally talks back to express her opinion :) Abby has shown no aggression to other dogs.
Abby's new family MUST already have at least one friendly, playful, well-adjusted similar-sized dog who is neither a senior or a puppy. Children who live in the home or are frequent visitors must be middle school age or older. (Abby is tall when she stretches out and is still a bit impulsive in jumping up when she's excited to greet people.)
Discussion about a dog - including scheduling of a home check or other dialogue - cannot occur until we have received your completed adoption application. Thank you!
