Meet our very pretty and affectionate girl named Salsa! Salsa is about 2 years old and she is a very friendly kitty! She absolutely loves to get attention and will rub herself on you for more. She is a petite girl, but she is a good eater and she is very food motivated. Salsa loves to be around people and she is a social girl! She is fine being picked up and moved around. She is a little unsure about toys at this time, but over time she may become more playful with them. Salsa is a family friendly kitty! Salsa is fine with other cats and we think she would be okay in a home with a cat savvy dog. She can go to a home with children 8 years old and older.

Meriden Animal Control IS OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK (M-F 8-4pm) (Sat-Sun 10-4pm) Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. Appts to meet dogs can made to suit your schedule, please email/call for an appt. We do prefer to be contacted by email for adoption inquiries at Adopt@savingpawsct.org. You must be 21 years of age to adopt with valid ID. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal.

An approved application does not guarantee an adoption. We do not hold animals for meet and greet appointments.

ALL ANIMALS ARE SPAYED AND NEUTERED BEFORE THEY GO HOME.
