My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello there! My name is Calypso, and I'm a sweet, petite girl. I love to meet new people and play! Balls are one of my favorite toys to play with. I love to be right by your side, and I want to do my best to please you. I know sit and down and I LOVE treats! I also like going for walks. I'm a fun girl with lots of energy and I would love a family who makes sure that I get lots of exercise and playtime!

If you would like to meet me, please call the people at TCRAS at (719) 686 7707 to set up an appointment!

Additional adoption info

To adopt:
All adoptions must be done in person. Visit the shelter to meet the adoptable animals you would like to consider. TCRAS is open 6 days a week, please see hours of operation.

Your visit with each animal will be assisted by a trained adoption specialist to answer questions, address concerns and to help you decide if the animal is a good fit for your home environment (i.e. children, other pets, specific needs, etc). You can also bring in your current pets to do a visitation (this may be required with certain animals).

In the year 2000, the Teller County Regional Animal Shelter (TCRAS) was formed and continued under this leadership to the present day. Our shelter is a small, rural shelter. Every year, over 800 lost, abandoned, neglected, or homeless dogs and cats get assistance from TCRAS. We do not euthanize for time or space.
