Ryuji was just rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas. He is a cute, friendly and funny puppy who is affectionate and playful! He's athletic and loves to run around and play with toys, but spends much of his time lounging and observing like a shepherd, even at such a young age (4-5 months old). He is quite small right now, about 25 lbs. He must have a tongue too big for his mouth because sometimes it pokes out, especially when he's sleeping. He does well with kids and people of all ages as he loves the attention. Ryuji is a very curious pup and is always sniffing around and exploring his surroundings. He would love an active lifestyle and to learn some basic training as he appears to be eager to please. Ryuji has been doing great with his potty training and doesn't have accidents inside as long as he is taken out whenever he wakes up, and after he eats. He is a smart pup that catches on quickly. He also knows how to use the dog door. Ryuji is just a baby, so he will require a lot of attention, love and care. He was fostered with cats for a bit and learned not to chase them, he doesn't bother the chickens in his foster home, and he loves the company of other dogs and appreciates gentle play.
