Take the Pet Home
Sweet Dee and her little kitten siblings were rescued in June 2024 from a bad situation and came to their foster home in New Cumberland where they received much needed medical care and learned that people are good and can be trusted! Her little foster cohort grew bigger when other kittens from other places joined the foster home. But boy as they all grew bigger, they grew more energetic, and Dee prefers to stay out of the wrestling matches that are often occurring. As a result, she can often be found watching the goings on from a perch or behind some object. When her foster mom comes in to feed them, Sweet Dee thinks "oh no, she's going to give me medicine" and will run and tuck herself in a corner. But her foster mom knows that Sweet Dee is a lot more extroverted than she lets on. Sweet Dee can often be seen rubbing heads with her siblings and foster friends on the wireless camera that her foster parents set up. She even will come up and sniff the camera when it's moving. Her foster mom knows that all that is needed to pull Sweet Dee from her corner is to start petting all the other foster kittens. You see, Sweet Dee really cannot resist the urge to get petted...so she will happily come up to you and be petted for as long as you are willing to do so. And she has the loudest purr out of all of them! So Sweet Dee is a very apt name for her, because she is very sweet and demure! But she leaves her quieter side behind when she sees a feather toy. She gets laser focused on that and nothing can stand in her way when she wants to get a hold of it.
Sweet Dee would probably do best in a quieter home knowing how she isn't a high energy kitten. She enjoys the company of her foster friends, and would be a good match to be adopted with Squeals or Pork Chop, but her foster parents suspect that she would be okay as an only cat or an adopted sibling to a resident cat who is kind and gentle. Sweet Dee hasn't had the chance to explore a house yet, so her foster parents aren't sure if she is lap cat material, but they can tell you that once Sweet Dee is in the purring zone, she loves being held and petted. With some patience and love, Sweet Dee will no doubt hit the ground running.
Sweet Dee was born in April 2024 and is currently living in a foster home in New Cumberland. Her adoption donation is $135 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing (she is negative for both), microchip, and spay. She can be adopted with Pork Chop or Squeals for a reduced, combined rate.
