My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet our sweet Miles! Miles is an adorable Chihuahua mix puppy who was, along with his mom and sister, surrendered by their owner who found herself unhoused in Texas. Miles’ approx DOB is 5/24/24. Weighing in at only 5 lbs, he seems like he’d be fragile, but when you see him with other dogs you realize he doesn’t know how small he is. His mama is 9 lbs full grown, so Miles will stay a small dog. He enjoys playing and running around the yard, being with his people, cuddling, and getting shown affection. He’s a loving, loyal little guy. He doesn’t need another dog in the home in order to thrive but he would enjoy it if there was one. Miles is a typical puppy working hard on potty training and learning to walk on a leash. Miles came to us with an eye injury and he’s lost most the vision in his right eye. Don’t fret though- He gets along great and our vet says there’s nothing more that needs to be done for the eye. His left eye is perfect. Miles is vetted, vaccinated up to date, microchipped, and will be neutered by us at our partner vet around 6 months of age. He will make a wonderful companion for one lucky family! His adoption donation fee is $400. Please apply directly on our website in the drop-down menu at: https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org

We do not have a facility. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals. We are a state licensed, 501c3 nonprofit rescue and the adoption donation may be tax deductible for you.  Thank you for choosing adoption!!
