My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dear lonely human,

I have heard that the human partner finding situation is far less than desirable so I present another option… ME!

My name is Cider and I would love to make sure neither of us are ever lonely again. I’m what you call Velcro… or the type of dog that has no concept of a bubble… or my own size. I would love nothing more than to be with you as much as absolutely possible.

However, if you must leave the home, I’m not destructive or anything like that. I’ll just be anxiously awaiting your arrival back.  I have the most adorable full body wiggles. I give hugs all the kisses. I’m also a really great snuggler! Okay, occasionally I’ll get excited and pull but I take direction really well! I absolutely loathe a kennel so it’s just best that we don’t consider that unless you’d love to hear my beautiful singing voice… not only do I bark but I can howl, and sound like a dying cow… so if you have to leave and put me in a kennel, a shared wall environment will not be the best situation.

Other dogs are fine. I have been perfectly wonderful with every single one in my current foster home… but it’s very clear that I value the order of the pack! So if a dog I feel is above me in pack order is on the bed. I will get off the bed to make sure that they have their rightful space. However, that is my rightful space. I’ll give a little motherly correcting nip so that that dog is aware it is their turn to move. I am a bulldog so I can also be considered a bulldozer… if you were trying to go to the bathroom and shut the door behind yourself, I will use my head as a battering ram to make sure that I am there so you are not alone. I do not bulldoze small children over which is pretty incredible for my breed.

I have some goofy vetting things that need to be figured out and this bio will be updated as those are uncovered but as of right now with the current medications that I’m on my foster mom has had zero issues!!!!

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, rabies vaccination if age appropriate, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Distemper combo vaccines appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm and flea/tick preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $650.00
