My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Josie is such a great dog. She loves, loves, loves people, and will be so loyal to her owners. She will be so excited when you get home, and shower you with puppy kisses and zoomies to show you how much she has missed you.

Josie loves it if children stop to pet her on her walks. She is so good about not jumping up on them, but just enjoying their company.

Josie is content being left at home while you are at work and will not get into trouble. While you are home if you leave your clothes lying around on the floor she will steal them and hide them under her dog bed for safe keeping. If you leave the bathroom door open while you take a shower, she will sneak in to see what she can find.

Josie is good with other dogs her size with a proper introduction. She is nervous around large dogs. She does have some pup friends that she enjoys playing with, but would probably like to be your one and only in the home.

Josie would enjoy a nice fenced back yard to run around in, and sun bathe on warm days. She enjoys going on her walks, so a human who also loves to take a walk. She rides great in the car, she doesn't make a peep and enjoys looking out of the window.

Josie is 5 years old, weighs 56lbs, spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. No health issues. She is located in Boise, Idaho.

More about this rescue

We are a registered 501(c)(3) non- profit, charitable organization. Our mission is to rescue dogs from overcrowded and high kill shelters, and place them in loving homes. We also strive to educate the public on responsible pet ownership, and the importance of spay/neuter, so that one day there will no longer be adoptable dogs, euthanized by the thousands in our shelters. We are an all volunteer organization. 100% of donations go directly to the care of the dogs.
