My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Hunter!

This cute little boy was born outside in May, but has been enjoying the good life indoors ever since. He is house trained, microchipped, vaccinated, and neutered!

Hunter is shy, but loves to be held and snuggled by his people! It will take him a little bit to get to know you but once he does he will be a purr machine. He’s just a little baby who doesn’t like loud noises or sudden moves. However, he LOVES food and likes to be silly playing in his water bowl. He has the cutest personality and he is worth the extra time

If you are interested in Hunter, please visit our website at www.muskokaanimalrescue.com and complete an application form.

As we are a rescue group, we don't have a shelter, just loving foster homes throughout Muskoka. Please contact us to make an appointment to see an animal.

More about this rescue

We are a volunteer-based, donation-only service that provides adoption services for people who are looking for a new furry addition to their family. We also provide non-judgemental, supportive help for people who are surrendering their companion animals.

We provide free advice and suggestions to people who are experiencing issues with their pets, including but not limited to behavioural issues, training advice, surrender help, and much more: spay/neuter education, advice and referrals.

We have a screening process that includes an application, telephone screen and a home visit to make sure the people are "as good as they sound on the phone". We also contact their vet and do a reference check.

We are committed to helping people find homes for their pets because we care about our community and love animals.
