My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lulu: The Resilient Sweetheart Ready for Her Forever Home

Name: Lulu
Breed: Beautiful Boxer Mix
Age: Young and Strong
Personality: Gentle and Loving
Favorite Activity: Playtime with Dog Friends and Cuddling with People
Cuddle Preferences: Loves All the Attention and Snuggles
Dog-Friendly: Now Great with Other Dogs
Cat-Friendly: Yes!
Kid-Friendly: Loves People of All Ages
Best Trait: Her Unbreakable Spirit and Loving Heart

Story:
Lulu's journey is one of resilience and heart. She came to us as a survivor of extreme cruelty-emaciated, covered in urine burns, and scared. Her hair was sliding off her skin, and she didn't know when her next meal would come, fiercely guarding what little food she had. Despite her pain, all Lulu ever wanted was love.

With time, patience, and care, Lulu began to heal. Slowly, her weight came back, her coat grew shiny again, and she learned that food was no longer something to fear. We worked on her dog-to-dog relationships, and Lulu now thrives in the company of other dogs, happily playing and enjoying her new friendships.

Lulu is also cat-friendly, which only adds to her incredible nature. But more than anything, she craves love and affection from people. She's the sweetest girl, always ready for snuggles, eager for every bit of attention she can get. After everything she's endured, Lulu deserves a forever home filled with love, comfort, and warmth.

If you're looking for a dog who embodies strength, sweetness, and a heart full of love, Lulu is the one. She's been through more than any dog should have to bear, but her spirit remains unbroken, and she's ready to be the beloved companion she was always meant to be.

More about this rescue

The HSVLC is a non-profit organization that only rescues animals based on available foster homes and funding. All of our dogs and some of our cats live in foster homes. Loving families have taken them in and are caring for them until they find their furrever home. We also house many of our cats at our office location. We have four cage free rooms dedicated to housing our resident cats. You can stop by our office during business hours to visit our residents or contact us in advance to schedule a visit with one of our fosters.
