Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Found on a busy street in a bad neighborhood with a breed ban, no one really knows Chico’s story. It’s our opinion an uncaring person threw him from a car in their effort to get rid of him, and that’s how he ended up with a broken leg. How someone could harm such an innocent little puppy, we will never know.
Thankfully, Chico is a testament to the breed’s amazing ability to forgive and forget. If you ask Chico what life was like before his rescue, he’ll just give you a wag, a lick, and be on his way with a toy. Chico holds no grudges, and in fact is a very outgoing, loveable, fun little guy with a great attitude and zest for his new life.
Chico has been fully vaccinated, neutered, and his leg has been set. He is expected to fully recover from his leg injury and our vet feels he will have no lasting effects from the break.
Chico is currently in a foster home with an older dog and several cats. While the other dog in the home doesn’t care for a puppy stealing his limelight, Chico takes his grumpiness in stride and still tries to make friends. He’d probably enjoy a home with a friendly, spayed female canine companion or as an only doggy. Chico doesn’t mind the kitties so far, he’s just very curious about them. His favorite friend in his foster home is a 2 yr. old toddler who he follows around the house in hopes of a wayward treat making it’s way to the ground in her wake. He loves his little girl and is very responsive to everyone in the house.
Chico is only about 8 weeks old and is full of life and enthusiasm –ready to take the world on. He is very affectionate and playful, like all young pups should be. Chico is very lucky that he was found by his good Samaritan when he was. Instead of living on the streets or becoming a victim of abuse or neglect, he will be a spoiled, pampered boy for the rest of his life. We feel Chico will make someone an amazing lifetime companion. If you are interested in giving Chico his forever home, please contact us.
