Meet Cash!

Cash and another pup were brought to CRT after a local shelter asked for our help. Over the past year they had found themselves at the shelter multiple times, only for their 'family' to reclaim them each time right before the stray hold ended. The shelter reached out to CRT and asked us to get Cash and the other pup out, and so they found their way to us! Sweet little Cash had ZERO training on the basics and honestly didn't get along with the other pup he came in with once they were both in a home with some structure. So they have since been separated and both are thriving!

Cash is a mix, but is 100% lapdog. He is about 2 years old and weighs about 10 pounds. Cash’s foster mom asked the vet what she thinks he's mixed with. Her response: Shitzu in face, chi body, doxie feet. Could also be a bit of pug or frenchie in there, maybe some beagle. So basically he might have a little bit of everything mixed in!

Cash loves people and is very friendly and sociable. He walks perfectly on leash, more like a steady trot, right beside you, and loves going for walks. He is a pretty laid back, mellow guy, especially for his young age. He gets along with most small dogs with a slow introduction. He would also be fine as an only pet.

Cash is housetrained, except in bad weather. He will also use potty pads, paper or washable. He does well in a crate when needed, and will go in on command, or he might need a small bribe in the form of a treat. Cash sits on command as well and takes treats gently!

Cash is vetted and is healthy. He has had age-appropriate vaccinations. Cash has been neutered and recently had an umbilical hernia repaired. He is heartworm negative and is on monthly heartworm prevention.

Cash’s adoption donation is $300.

An application must be submitted and approved before a meet-n-greet can be scheduled.

Your current dogs/cats must be spayed or neutered unless a veterinarian has determined that your current pet(s) should not be fixed due to medical reasons. They must also be up-to-date on shots and on HW preventative.

Reference checks and a home visit are required so southeast dogs can only be adopted in NC/SC, VA, TN, AL, MD and GA.
