Meet Oswald! The confident boy who will steal your heart. Oswald is curious and loves to explore the world around him through smell. He sniffs new things very intently. Oswald is not quite two years old yet. He has the youthfulness of a kitten but doesn’t require as much supervision. He has been vaccinated, microchipped, and treated for fleas.
His energy needs are moderate. While he enjoys lounging near windows, he does get the zoomies like most cats two or three times a day. This is when Oswald loves to hunt. His favorite toys are little cloth mice that he can bat around. He also enjoys wands with lights and bells. It’s best to avoid toys with feathers because he will find a way to pluck them. He also does well with puzzles and mental stimulation. Oswald has also shown an aptitude for clicker training.
Oswald is sweet with adults and is human-curious. We believe he would also do well with older children. He does not use claws when he plays and will cuddle aggressively (You will need to find a good lint roller!).
Oswald is litterbox trained. His favorite treats are small and crunchy. With these, he may “come here†and “sit†accompanied by snapping and hand motions if he is hungry enough. He is comfortable with a water fountain and automatic feeder.
Oswald came to us as a stray, following us up to the third floor of our apartment, and walking right in when the door opened. We have made the difficult choice of rehoming him because of his tense relationship with our first cat. She is shy and finds Oswald annoying and intimidating. She has made it very clear that she would rather be the only four-legged friend in the home. It is hard to let Oswald go, but it is unfair to both cats to keep them separated in our apartment. In this situation, neither cat is comfortable. We want to find Oswald a better home than we can provide, where he has the freedom to sniff, explore, and be a goofy guy.
