CrossFit is a certified loverboy! He is an absolute sweetheart and just wants to be near you (or on your lap!) and is happy as a clam to lay by your side as you work or watch TV. He still has a bit of puppy energy, so if you're up and moving, he's curious and wants to know what's going on! Crossfit doesn't bark, is eager to meet all people and dogs (seems like cats & kids are fine too, but we haven't encountered as many!), and just wants somebody to love! He has a lovely demeanor that seems to come naturally to him - he's friendly right from the start. He is crate trained and house trained and has mastered sit and lay in a matter of hours. He'd be a great solo pet or sibling for another dog (as long as they like to play, our boy LOVES to play). He gets a little spooked by the crazy city noises (to be fair...his foster lives in a pretty bustling part of the city) so he would do best in a quiet city neighborhood or in the burbs. He is such a sweet, loving boy... he will make your heart grow two sizes!
Fill out all below:
Personality & Characteristics: Friendly, Snuggler, Sweet!
My foster dog is good with: Dogs & People - he wants to say hello to everyone!
My foster dog is: housetrained and crate-trained!
3 Keywords for your pup: Snuggly, smart, loverboy
Energy Level (1= calm, 10= high energy): 6.5- will happily lounge & nap next to you for hours, but also gets excited and wants to play before and after work!
Barker? Or Quiet Pup?: Quiet! No barking, no whining.
Walking Manners: great in quiet areas, will sometimes pull to get back home if he gets nervous from a loud city sound.
Appetite: Great eater while you're inside! He has no interest in any treats on walks, after going to the bathroom outside, etc.
Does the following: He may be a bit anxious when first getting settled in, but seems to adapt within a few days. Not a huge fan of bathtime but he gets through it!. Realllly love toys - plushies, balls, kongs, dog puzzle, snuffle mats.Favorite Things: Being close to you and having his head scratched <3
Commands/Tricks: He's got "Sit!" and "Lay Down!" mastered. We are working on "off" to stop jumping up when he gets super excited in the mornings.
ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at WaldosRescue.org and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog. We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs.
Waldos Rescue Pen is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill shelters throughout the United States
