My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Muneca is looking for someone with a big heart, which sadly, is very rare these days... Muneca has an ear infection and an ear condition called "fly strike" from flies chewing the skin off her ears. She also has heartworms disease. Muneca was surrendered by her owner in this condition. We are hoping her next home with keep her on flea and heartworm prevention to prevent bugs from biting her skin and infecting her heart, and hopefully keep her clean and indoors as well. Muneca's adopter will be sent home with her ear medication at no charge, and will also receive FREE heartworm treatment and spay from Farmers Branch Animal Services partnered with "Operation Kindness"! Do you have enough room in your heart to rescue this sweet, beautiful German Shepherd?

Animal services is an environmental health program of the community services department designed to promote public health and safety through education, enforcement and legislation. The major objectives of animal services are to protect the public from diseases (such as rabies) that can be transmitted from animals to humans, to reduce the number of traffic emergencies caused by uncontrolled animals, to abate nuisances and annoyance to citizens caused by animals, to reunite pets with owners, to promote the adoption of unwanted or stray animals housed at the city’s animal shelter and to operate the city’s animal shelter in a humane and sanitary manner.
