Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pepper is a very active, fun and sweet kitten with handsome black fur with a white spot on his lower belly. He runs to greet you and is always ready to play and explore. Pepper loves wrestling with his brother Cumin and playing with any toy, especially his toy mouse or spring. He is generous with his purrs and would love to curl up with you to take a nap. Pepper is an expert with the litter box and does really well riding in the car in his kennel. He would fit in perfectly with an active household. It would be best if Pepper had an animal sibling to play with. If you are looking for two kittens, his foster mom will sponsor and pay for the second adoption fee for his brother Cumin! He can't wait to meet you and play!

The first step to adopting a cat or dog from Animal Friends Alliance is to fill out an adoption questionnaire. You can do this online!

The next step is to pick out a cat or dog! Check out our adoptable cats and adoptable dogs for pictures and short descriptions or come into the shelter at our Taft Hill campus. We also have adoptable cats at many offsite locations.

Note: not all available cats and dogs reside at our campuses. Some are at off-site adoption partners or in foster homes. If you are interested in a particular cat or dog, please call our shelter at (970) 484-8516 to find out about their current status and location.

We do not ship animals. You are required to come and meet your new addition prior to adoption so that we can ensure a good match.

Please note that we will make a copy of the adopters’ State ID card, Driver’s License or passport at the time of adoption.

Our spay/neuter clinic performs surgeries on both cats & dogs, and we also offer low-cost vaccination clinics every week.

Our organization's goal is to do everything in our power to prevent euthanasia due to 'homelessness'.
