My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Arthur is a large young dog that is sweet and curious. He is looking for a special home, preferably with a dog savvy person that is familiar and comfortable with positive reinforcement training. His new home will need to be patient and willing to help him continue to build his confidence, as he can be nervous with new things, people and environments.

He would likely do well in a home with another dog, but we aren’t sure about cats.

More about this rescue

Pasado’s Safe Haven was founded in 1997 in honor of “Pasado“, a beloved donkey who was tortured to death by three teenage boys. Located on 85 acres in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, we are a non-profit on a mission to end animal cruelty.

In addition to investigating animal cruelty crimes and providing sanctuary and rehabilitation to animals who have suffered from abuse and neglect, we also advocate for better laws to protect animals and work to educate the public about how they can help end animal suffering. Through our uniquely comprehensive programs, we are able to help thousands of animals every year and spread a message of compassion to countless people.
