My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Precious Boomer had a rough start in life but is ready for a forever family. He is 5 years old and very loving and submissive; he just wants pets and cuddles!
He’s finally flea and worm free, but his blistered skin is still healing from scratching at fleas for so long.
Boomer is estimated to be 5 years old. He is neutered, UTD on all vaccines, is finally free from fleas and intestinal worms, heartworm negative, and is microchipped.
In foster, he is getting along just fine with other dogs and is gentle with cats. We haven’t had a chance to see him interact with children but he has a very calm and loving demeanor so we invite families with children to come meet him if he catches their eye.
Boomers adoption fee is $350.

More about this rescue

Working Hounds in the House started as an organization to help retired and decommissioned working hounds find a soft landing after a career in the field. Since starting, we rarely say no to an animal in need if we have the means to safely care for it, so we take many cat and kittens and and recently even rescued a pony!
