Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
This is Iker! He is a shy boy but wants he gets to know you. He's the sweetest cat ever! He loves to lay beside his foster mom all day and sleeps with her at night. He loves all his foster cats, but he's especially close to his brother Gabe, and so we would love to see Iker and Gabe adopted together if possible. He plays with the younger kittens in his foster's home and lets them climb all over him! He's great with his foster's dogs too, lays beside them on the couch but mostly just ignores them. He loves catnip toys and being petted. He doesn't like to be carried around, so he'll probably be happier in a house with older kids.
Iker's birthdate is estimated at roughly January 2024, so he's still a kitten. Included with the adoption is Iker's neuter, all applicable birth-to-one-year FVRCP, FeLeuk and first round of rabies vaccinations, deworming, flea treatment, a wellness check, FIV/FeLV combo testing, and microchipping. In addition to being fully vetted, our cats and kittens are highly socialized. We offer a 2-week getting acquainted period and a 2-week wellness guarantee, so you can comfortably settle in with your new kitty! Please note, young kitties do best long-term if they grow up with another kitty in the household.
To apply to adopt, please complete an adoption inquiry at www.bluesmews.org so our adoption specialist volunteer can review it and contact you!

Additional adoption info
Adoption requirements include an application that tells us something about the adoptive family and authorizes us to contact the family's vet for references, a phone or in-person interview, and at the director's discretion, home visitation. We provide an adoption contract that lists the animal's current and anticipated health care and delineates the owner's and our responsibilities. Each kitten has a 2-week satisfaction guarantee which provides a full refund for animals returned within the 2-week time frame. Our typical adoption fees are $200 per Siamese Wannabe and $250 per Siamese mixes and Siamese and some others.

More about this rescue
We are a small, grass-roots volunteer effort dedicated to easing the problems faced by unwanted Siamese cats and kittens and their non-Siamese cousins. We use foster homes for our animals to provide them with a warm and loving environment from which to be adopted; we give all of our animals excellent vet care to ensure they have a good start in life. We offer education and advice on cat care and cat behavior issues; we provide courtesy listings for adoptable pets for free on our web site. We provide support to indigent owners (emergency food and vet care assistance) as we are able and offer advice and assistance on resolving landlord pet issues (including ADA therapy pet designation). We are dedicated to making life easier for the animals who love and trust us and look to us for their safety, security, and happiness. The problems are large and we are small but we try hard to make a difference for cats at risk.
