My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

BART AND LISA UPDATE!! ʉϬ

These babies are now thriving and are just beautiful! Bart and Lisa were dumped in July and left for dead in rural Mississippi. They had severe scabies mange, secondary bacterial and fungal infections, coccidia, hooks and round worms and rickets! With TLC from their amazing foster mom and good vet care these babies have blossomed. Still battling a little fungal on their skin but they are healing beautifully. We honestly have no idea of their breed! Lab/Catahoula maybe!? They have beautiful gray coloring. we believe they will be medium to large sized adults. They are 14ishweeks old, utd & altered.

Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply!

All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter!

Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. Please allow us time to respond to all inquires and applications! Thank you!

More about this rescue

Wags and Whiskers is a FOSTER based small rescue along the Gulf Coast. We take in dogs from local shelters, strays and from individuals who are in need of help. We can only take in dogs that we have a foster space available for and that space is limited due to the shear number of unwanted dogs in our area. Our primary veterinarian is Dr. David Martin at Parkway Animal Hospital. He oversees all medical treatment. All dogs are current on vaccinations, dewormed, heartworm tested if they are over 6 months of age and are altered before adoption. PARKWAY ANIMAL HOSPITAL DOES NOT HOUSE OUR DOGS ONLY PROVIDE MEDICAL TREATMENT! We have an adoption process that consist of an online application that can be emailed to you, reference check, meet and greet and home visit. Adoptions will not be finalized until all procedures listed have been completed. We do not adopt on a first come first serve basis but to the best home for that particular animal when there are multiple applicants.
